ونبهت عمارة أنه يجوز الأكل من طعام غير المسلمين من أهل الكتاب، مستشهدة بقول الله- تعالى- في سورة المائدة “وطعام الذين أوتوا الكتاب حل لكم وطعامكم حل لهم”.
وأوضحت عمارة أن صلتهم وبرهم مستحبة، فقد جاء في القرآن الكريم في سورة الممتحنة “لا ينهاكم الله عن الذين لم يقاتلوكم في الدين ولم يخرجوكم من دياركم أن تبروهم وتقسطوا إليهم”.
