أوضح اللواء أحمد حجازى رئيس الإدارة المركزية للسياحة والمصايف بالإسكندرية، حقيقة ما تم تداوله عبر وسائل التواصل الاجتماعى حول هدم كبائن شاطئ ستانلى الشهيرة شرقى المحافظة، مؤكدا أنه لا صحة لذلك وأن ما يتم حاليا عبارة عن عملية ترميم.
وقال حجازى فى تصريح له اليوم الجمعة، “ما يتم الآن هو عملية ترميم خاصة بكبائن ستانلى نظرا لطول الفترة التى لم يتم عمل صيانة لها مما أدى إلى تآكل المنشآت، الأمر الذى يمثل خطورة على أرواح المستأجرين”.
ولفت إلى أنه تم الاتفاق مع الشعبة الهندسية للمنطقة الشمالية العسكرية لتقوم بعملية الصيانة، مشيرا إلى أن السبب وراء اختيار هذا التوقيت فى بداية شهر مايو الجارى، يرجع إلى استغلال قلة الضغط على الشواطئ بالتزامن مع حلول شهر رمضان إلى جانب موسم الامتحانات.
وأوضح أنه من المقرر أن تتسلم المحافظة الكبائن مع نهاية شهر رمضان المعظم، مما يسمح للمواطنين باستخدام الكبائن، مبينا أن عملية الهدم جزئية للأماكن التى يصعب ترمميها، كما سيتم إنشاء دورات مياه بالطابق الأرضى مع مراعاة البعد التراثى للمكان.
